Nonze Hostel

Right across from Pattaya Beach, Nonze Hostel has a distinctive capsule setup and a futuristic feel. The beach views from the common areas are lovely, especially at sunset, and waking up to the sea was a highlight. The place is modern, high-tech, and well equipped, with a sleek, practical layout. The air-conditioned cubicles give you privacy, and the beds are very comfortable. Lockers make it easy to secure your things, and the bathrooms are kept clean. Staff were kind and helpful throughout. There are also plenty of Indian restaurants within walking distance. A stylish, spotless choice in a convenient spot.

After a busy day, the outdoor restaurant's two floors are a nice place to sit with a drink and unwind in front of Beach Road. This is my third hostel stay, and my first in Thailand. The check-in and checkout were both easy, and I got a warm welcome. On the fourth floor, shoes go in a shoe locker. The lounge next to it has water and instant coffee, while the sleeping area has capsules, towels, and a bottle of water. The shared bathroom is nearby and clean. Each capsule has a sliding door and storage at the back for bags and other things. I don't like air conditioning blowing right over my head, so I taped it down with the staff's help and it stopped bothering me. The employee Moe deserves a mention. He was helpful, polite, and friendly, and I could chat with him easily in English and some useful Thai. Clean, quiet, helpful, and uncomplicated. I can recommend this hostel.

The biggest issue for me was the cubicle air conditioning. There was no way to control it, and it was too cold to sleep comfortably, especially with the thin blanket. I woke up cold several times every night. I stayed three nights in cubicle 414. The dorm was on the fourth floor, reached by elevator, and had good air conditioning overall, a key-card entrance, and glass walls looking over Pattaya beach. The cubicles are two levels high, with sliding doors, and the same card turns on the electricity inside. Mine had a bed and closet with a mini wardrobe, large locker, small table, and outlets including two USB ports. The queen bed had a firm but comfortable mattress. There was one shared bathroom area with, I think, eight showers and toilets, plus four sinks outside. Even when the dorm was busy, I never had to wait, and everything was clean and working throughout my stay. A few smaller annoyances: there weren't enough trash cans, and by morning they were full, especially on weekends. Ventilation holes let in mosquitoes, and my cubicle faced the window, making it bright in the morning. The location is right on the beachfront and close to everything. Staff were welcoming and helpful in the Thai way. It is expensive for a cubicle, but hard to beat for the location and facilities. I'd stay again if the blankets were thicker.

The staff are super friendly, and there's a nicely air-conditioned bar on the first floor where you can relax. Each capsule is enclosed and private, so it feels comfortable too. The location is idyllic, right on Pattaya Beach, with an incredible sunset just steps away. Everything is close enough that there's no need to rent a motorbike. This hostel is on another level, I absolutely recommend it.
