Khao Sok Hill Top Resort

We tried both a bungalow and the tents, and loved both. They were brilliant, spotless, and had everything we needed. The resort is outside the busy town area, perfect for a peaceful, relaxing stay. The family who own it are so kind and welcoming, and really go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. They can arrange excursions and tours with pickup, including trips to the floating bungalows and guided hikes, plus scooter and motorbike hire. The food was incredible, all cooked fresh to order. There’s really no need to eat anywhere else. I can’t recommend this place enough.

The lady at the resort was the sweetest, and made delicious sandwiches and pancakes. The toilet and shower area was really clean too. Keep your eyes open and ask her about the wildlife, you might spot some interesting animals in the area. The tents are raised off the ground and under a roof, and staying here was absolutely worth the money if you like camping. It’s a nice place to unwind, set outside the village and busy tourist areas.

We stayed in a cozy tent with a fan provided and would definitely recommend the place. The hosts were lovely, cooked delicious food, and let us keep our bikes near the restaurant. We would happily have stayed longer, but we’re cycle touring and had to move on.

The garden is lovingly decorated, and you can wake up to a beautiful mountain landscape or read a book there. The resort is a bit remote, but I’d take that over sleeping in a small room in the noisy village. It’s been the best accommodation on my trip through Thailand so far. A mother and daughter run the resort, and both care for their guests so warmly. I accidentally let bees into my room twice, and the daughter got rid of them for me like a real superhero. The food is great, and the atmosphere couldn’t be better. Thank you so much!
