Apsara Residence

It works well if you mainly need somewhere to sleep between time out in Patong. The hotel is guest friendly, and the walking street is only a few steps away. There are also lots of Arabic restaurants nearby, so finding halal food is easy. There’s no pool or seating area, though.

The apartment-style room had been remodeled and was clean, but the neighborhood was busy and noisy. The balcony door in my room didn’t feel secure, and the staff weren’t much help. Their attitude seemed to be, “That’s how it is.”

I arrived late and found no one at reception, so I booked another hotel and came back the next day. They told me they had sold my room to someone else, yet still charged me for three nights. There were rats around the entrance, and the hotel looked awful. Don’t book here. I felt they had cheated me.

Mosquitoes were everywhere in my room, though I didn’t notice them elsewhere. The hotel is near the party areas, but far enough away that I could still sleep.
