I like this hostel and recommend it, no complaints about the place. Just one small suggestion to prevent confusion. I asked the staff the day before whether the front desk would be open early, since I was leaving early and needed my deposit back. They said it wouldn't be a problem. At 7am there was nobody at the desk, and I had a ferry to catch, so I worried I might lose my deposit. I rang the bell politely, then kept trying after a while. I didn't want to wake other guests, but I needed the money back. The night staff member woke up and returned it. He was really nice, and I felt bad that he had to get up. The morning staff member was running late and arrived around 7:10 am. If a guest says they're checking out early, my suggestion is to just waive the deposit. I get that margins are small and the business needs protecting, but there should be a system for early departures when no one is at reception. Thanks for considering it.

The place itself is great, but the customer service was appalling. I've never seen anyone lazier. I told reception the day before that I wanted to extend my stay, then they tried to charge me extra. Breakfast was shit too, just one sausage, and they refused when I asked for another. The staff need to get their act together or be replaced. Reception was very rude to customers.

The hostel is clean and breakfast is quite good, but getting to the beach is inconvenient. It's about 40 minutes by Grab and costs between 300-500 baht, and many drivers refuse because it's too far. I had an uncomfortable run-in with the receptionist over photocopies I needed for the airport. He wanted to charge 200 baht. I offered to pay, expecting around 30 baht like at other places I'd asked. I only had cash for the taxi, so I said I could pay by card, and he suggested keeping my deposit instead. I refused because it seemed clear he was trying to take advantage of the situation. The place is nice overall, but it feels like they try to get extra money from guests whenever they can.

The receptionist was friendly, and the facilities were fairly complete. It's a comfortable place, with a clean bathroom and a location close to tourist sights and good food. I'd stay here again if I return to Phuket.

Less than 24 hours before my reservation, which I'd made many months earlier, they emailed to say my private room wasn't available for the first night and I'd need to find somewhere else. Luckily I hadn't paid yet, but it put me in a difficult spot. I wouldn't recommend them because of that poor service.
