The Royal Palm Beachfront

The room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and always willing to help. We had a midnight flight, so they packed breakfast for us, which was truly amazing. The location is nice, right in front of the beach, and the stay was very comfortable for my family.

The beach is just across the road, and our room had a front view of Patong beach. Rooms were clean, room service was decent, and breakfast was good. There are also plenty of good Indian food outlets nearby. The main drawback was the lack of an elevator, which felt strange, and we had to carry some of our luggage upstairs ourselves. Still, it was a good stay.

The room was set up really nicely and was excellent value for what I paid. Mine had no natural light, though the blue LED lighting helped. Step outside and you're straight among the busy beach road shops and restaurants. I'd stay there again without a second thought.

Breakfast was included and good, with a nice range to choose from. The rooftop pool area was nice, and free WiFi was available. The rooms were clean and pleasant, though smaller than the pictures suggested. We contacted the hotel before arriving to have the rooms ready, but still waited four hours to check in. Room cleaning was inconsistent. Some mornings they chased us out at 09:00 am to clean, while on other days we returned around 16:00 pm and the room still hadn't been done. One day the bathroom bin attracted millions of ants. They sprayed doom, but left the dead ants there for two days. To me, the service was terrible. The so-called “beach front” is just the restaurant, since no rooms overlook the ocean.
