We booked two rooms, one in Building A and one in Building B. Building A was spotless and well kept, and it was labeled a honeymoon suite. Building B wasn’t as good, so I’d strongly suggest choosing A, especially since the price difference is small. Booking.com gave us a better rate than booking direct. The staff were polite, helped with our luggage, and the service was good overall. The breakfast was good and worth having.

The room itself was clean, but there was rust in the kettle and in the bathroom and shower. The WiFi only worked in the lobby and pool area, not in the room, and the TV worked only sometimes. The lamp, which was the room’s only other light, was interesting. The beds were rock hard, and one pillow felt like a rock too. When we asked for more pillows, they wanted 200 baht. The pool was freezing and the buffet breakfast had very limited choices. The first accommodation photo showed a beach, but we couldn’t see it at all when we arrived. The location wasn’t great, so check how far the walk is.

N.U.N. at reception, who wears a hijab, was so lovely and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure we had a good stay, including giving us recommendations for other islands we wanted to visit. She also helped us find places to stay on Phi Phi Island and in Krabi, which was amazing. We really appreciated her warmth and positive energy, and hope to see her again next time. Every hotel needs a receptionist like her.

The room was big and clean enough for three people. The beds, though, were really uncomfortable, and there was only one pillow each. WiFi didn’t work in the room. The hotel’s three-star rating is generous: the beach is a 25-30 minute walk away, and you only get a tiny glimpse of the ocean, which I guess is why it’s called “ocean view”.

Reception closes at night, so you’re on your own if something goes wrong. The room itself was okay, but the AC would sometimes stop working, and we had to walk to reception to ask for help. The TV was too far from the bed to watch comfortably, and sometimes it showed error messages instead of working. We had reserved a two-bedroom room, but they gave us one with a single big bed, saying there were no other rooms and they’d move us the next morning. Their photographer is very good: the photos make the hotel look four-star, though I think even two stars would be generous.
