The price is the main thing this place has going for it. A lot went wrong: there were no towels, no batteries in the TV remote, the volume button didn't work, and there was only half a toilet roll. I was given a single bed and had to haul heavy bags up the stairs to a room on the top floor. The list just kept going. The room was generally clean, and breakfast was just okay. But on checkout the receptionist didn't charge me for laundering my soiled clothes, which made up for things on the last day. You're forgiven. All the best. 👍

The hotel is comfortable, but I had several concerns. I don't think the price matches the quality, and rooms should be cleaned every day. Some staff act like they're the bosses instead of doing their jobs. The service from one tall man was the only staff service I liked. They should check that all the food is fresh, too. I saw earlier reviews asking for the TVs to be repaired, so that still seems to be an issue.

The hotel is in a great spot next to the opera. The cozy room was nicely decorated, though the rooms felt a bit small. There were plenty of toiletries, plus an iron and a safe. Breakfast came in a very nicely decorated room, with lots of good quality choices.

Aziza and the reception team made us feel so welcome. They were engaging and interesting to talk to, and couldn't have done more for us. The hotel itself is lovely, with clean, well-equipped rooms in a historic building that has a modern interior. It's on a quiet street in the city center. Breakfast was nice, and the price felt good for what we got. Great bars and restaurants are within walking distance. I'd stay here again next time I'm in Dushanbe.
