The rooms were okay, though the sink needed updating. When we checked in, the air conditioning only blew hot air, which was disappointing. Hauling bags up and down the stairs without an elevator was a big disappointment too.

The location is handy, not far from town and close to the best church in Nuku'alofa, Victory Chapel! Staff were kind and considerate, and the rooms were clean and well ventilated.

29/12/17 - 6/01/18 The staff were friendly and our rooms were comfortable, but the hotel itself needs a lot of TLC. Towels and other bathroom supplies were replenished, yet the toilets, showers, and sinks were never wiped down each day. The water cooler bottle by the main entrance was moldy, and it looked as if it was being refilled with tap water instead of replaced. Breakfast was okay, but the watermelon and Pawpaw never seemed fresh, so nobody ate them. WiFi was available, though it became annoying having to go downstairs for replacement cards because the password was wrong or the 150mb limit had been used up. Meida Hotel has the potential to reach the 5 star quality it deserves with professional management. I regret not taking photos to support what I've said about the areas needing attention. I hope to return to Meida Hotel in the future, but it won't be my first choice of accommodation. Thank you very much.
