Ay Otel 2

The sheets looked clean, but the bed smelled of cigarette butts, and the whole room reeked of smoke and mold. There was an ashtray in there, so I guess it was a smokers room, though nobody told us that beforehand. We booked two nights and left after the first. I’ve added a photo of the bathroom.

We used the hotel laundry service and had our clothes back freshly cleaned by evening after dropping them off that morning. It was really convenient. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus in the heat. The bathroom and toilet were together without a shower cabin, but it was clean. We’d booked at the last minute after changing accommodation and arrived late after a stressful day. The staff welcomed us warmly, which we appreciated. The mosque next door is the one downside: the 6 AM call to prayer is very loud. Light sleepers should bring earplugs.

Right in the city center, and good for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful with everything, from changing our booking and arranging an airport transfer to ordering food for my mom from a nearby café since she doesn’t speak English. I was very satisfied with the service.

The location was the only good part. Our room was dirty, the sheet had a big stain, and the bathroom clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. Staff weren’t helpful, and nobody offered to carry our luggage up to the second floor. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
