Palmiye Otel Mersin

After two weeks on the road, we spent two nights at Palmiye. It was clean and comfortable, and very good value for money. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Emel, who went out of her way to help us. I'd recommend it as a budget hotel.

The team made the stay feel personal, from quick check-in and check-out to taking time to answer questions and suggest historical places to visit. Everyone, from reception and the kitchen to housekeeping and the beach attendant, was warm and helpful. I felt like family, and staff handled requests right away. The cleaning staff were respectful and unobtrusive. My room had a sea-view balcony, and waking up to the sun and water was priceless. It was spacious and airy, with comfortable beds and good pillows. I had no back pain. The air conditioning, TV, mini-fridge, safe, and free Wi-Fi all worked well. The decor was simple and modern, the bathroom roomy, and there was always plenty of hot water. I also found the sound insulation good, with no outside noise. Food was a highlight. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were buffets with lots to choose from, including fresh produce, homemade jams, olives, cheeses, hot dishes, grilled food, and seafood. The food was tasty and suited my taste, with Mersin and Mediterranean dishes. There were all kinds of desserts, from syrupy to milky and fruity, and they were light and good. Meals came out hot and fresh, and restaurant staff were quick to refill things. The beach bars had refreshing drinks, juices, and snacks too. The room, bathroom, and shared areas were all very clean and well kept, including the lobby, hallways, restaurant, terrace, and garden. Sheets and towels were spotless, soft, and had no smell. I felt comfortable about hygiene, especially for families with children. I had a great stay and would definitely return. I recommend it to everyone.

We enjoyed our stay and found it a good choice for an affordable holiday. The food selection wasn't large, but what they served was delicious. The rooms are a little old, though the hotel is clean and feels safe. Staff were attentive, and Mr. Serhat and Mr. Taha sorted out our issues right away. It's near the beach, so you can walk along the shore in the evening, listen to live music, and do some shopping.
