Aratapartments

I didn't stay at Arat Apartment myself, but I spent quite a bit of time on the same street and spoke with several residents. They had only good things to say about their experience, and the apartment complex looked modern, clean, and well maintained, with a reputation for comfort and convenience. The lively neighborhood has a welcoming, diverse feel, with many foreign residents. Local cafes and shops are easy to reach, as is public transport. The people who live there highly recommend it.

We had plenty of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets nearby, with prices lower than in the touristy areas. The location was convenient for both the seaside and Sultanahmet. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had the amenities we needed, though it was smaller than the booking-site pictures suggested. You can see the sea from the shared rooftop, but not from the rooms. The manager was friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and perfectly adequate, with a handy little kitchen and a clean, modern bathroom. We could sit on the balcony in the evening and enjoy the views. Getting around was easy from the Kunkapi train station, about a five-minute walk on fairly level ground. It was one stop to the Hagia Sophia complex, and buses also circle the outer part of Sultanahmet. Beyazit’s T1 tram stop is nearby too, though the uphill walk can be tiring. The location is very convenient overall. A small elevator would be nice, but we understood this is a modest place with its own perks 😊

The apartment was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. It’s right in the heart of Istanbul’s old city, which made the location a real highlight. All the staff were great and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.
