The room upkeep was a major letdown. It wasn’t clean, the furniture felt worn and old, and basic maintenance seemed neglected. Some simple things that should have been working were broken or not properly set up. Staff made the stay even more frustrating: they were slow, unhelpful, and seemed uninterested in fixing problems. My requests were ignored or met with an attitude that made me feel like a bother. The hotel may qualify as a basic 3-star place, but the rooms and service fell far short of what I expected. The location and price were acceptable, so I’m giving it 3 stars instead of fewer. Still, the overall stay felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, and I wouldn’t choose it again. Better management, cleaning, and staff training could make a real difference.

Getting around was easy, with the metro and bus about a 5-minute walk away and the tram under 10 minutes away. There were lots of shops nearby too. Breakfast had a nice selection, and I enjoyed it. The room was a decent size, the bed was pretty comfortable, and the AC worked well, though it was loud. The pillow was too soft for me, but that wasn’t a big deal. Most staff were friendly and helpful, but there were some caveats to the good parts of this stay. The room was filthy. I took my shoes off when I first got in, then walked around for a couple of minutes before noticing my once-white socks had turned black underneath. All our shoe soles were black too, as if the floor had never been mopped. The so-called slippers were more like scraps of paper to wrap around your feet. They were pitch black underneath, with dirt, dust, hair, and other stuff on them. Even though the room had supposedly been cleaned during our stay, my wife’s slipper still looked like that on the day we left. Service could be frustrating too. At reception, I had to stand and wait while the man behind the counter finished chatting with his colleague before he turned to help me. When another man showed us to our room, he used Google Translate on his phone to ask for a tip. I said I had no cash and would tip him later, but I didn’t give him one. A couple of days later, during breakfast, that same man wouldn’t let me refill my small water bottle at the cooler, even though people had been doing so for the previous two days. The woman working in the kitchen motioned for us to fill it and argued with him, but we decided to leave and go back to our room. The location is fantastic for getting to the main sights, even if the area looks somewhat rundown and isn’t especially picturesque. I can’t recommend this place under any circumstances. Avoid it, and spend a little more if you can to find somewhere better.

The metro is very close and the location is nice, but cleanliness was a serious problem. It was hard to find clean breakfast plates, and I saw the chef working without gloves. The cleaner also accidentally left my room door open all day. I only noticed when I got back at 1 AM. Thanks for your attention.

The rooms were small and always dirty, and the staff seemed unclean and never smiled. The owner was very mean. It was an awful experience in every way, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good value for the price, with easy public transport connections and a convenient location. The room was a little small, but clean and practical, and the bathroom was good. There was no fridge, though. The staff were nice. Good cä.
