The rooftop terrace was a real treat, with a stunning view of the Marmara sea and Hagia Sophia. The location is excellent too: Sultanahmet tram stop and other important, well known places are about a five minute walk away. We asked for a quiet room, and they listened. We also had a room with elevator access. It was quiet for somewhere in central Istanbul. The hotel is cleaned every day, the beds are very comfortable, and breakfast is very good. What really stands out is how much everyone cares about guests. From the owner to the staff, they were kind and helpful in a way I haven't experienced on my travels around Europe. Yeşim was especially warm and caring, with a motherly touch that made us feel right at home. Thank you to the whole team for all your help. We’ll definitely stay here again if we return to Istanbul.

A cozy hotel in a great area, and it doesn't cost much. Breakfast is included, and the welcome was so warm. Everyone was very kind. I strongly recommend it.

The room was spotless, breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop had a clear view of the Hagia Sophia. Most sights were only a short walk away, while the hotel itself felt like a cozy refuge from Istanbul's bustle. Berk guesthouse may not be the fanciest place around, but the owners were warm and genuine, and their care made us feel welcome and comfortable. I couldn't have picked a better hotel. It felt like staying at Grandma's house, with a level of service I hadn't experienced in a long time.

The owners and staff are what make this place special. They make you feel at home, and are always up for a chat, a laugh, or sharing advice. Breakfast is great, and there's a rooftop view over Istanbul. In the middle of the old town, the guesthouse has spacious rooms, a balcony, and nice beds. The bathroom is a bit small, though that may stand out more because I'm a tall Dutch guy. I can highly recommend it 😊

We loved the character of the cozy patio, and the rooftop gave us lovely views at sunrise and sunset. The breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious, and they welcome outside guests too, which is nice. The owners were so welcoming, the location is exceptional, and the price is great for what you get. Thanks so much for having us!
