That white cat seems to run the place. She sits around like the manager and probably knows every secret, though she keeps them to herself 😅. I also want to thank the reception team, especially Ahmed and Matt, and the housekeeping staff. Everyone was warm, professional, and happy to help. The Central House Istanbul Taksim is an easy base for getting around, a short walk from Taksim Square and Istiklal Street and close to public transport. The hostel is modern, clean, and well organized, with comfortable rooms and well-kept facilities. I had a really good stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

The room and bathroom were in good shape and very clean, and getting a fresh bottle of water each day was a real plus. The beds felt too soft for us, though, and the curtains were broken in several places. Breakfast had a decent range, but it wasn't really to our taste. The design is lovely and the views are nice, with Galata Tower nearby. The drawback is the busy street: it was very noisy at night, even with the window closed, so opening it wasn't an option. Good value overall, probably a better fit for younger travelers.

Whenever I travel to Istanbul on my own, this is my number one place. The style, interior, cozy feel, friendly staff, good location, and included breakfast all make me want to come back again and again.

The rooftop has an amazing view and is a great place to relax, though it closes at 11 pm. The location is really good, the price is reasonable, and the reception team was helpful and friendly. The hostel itself was clean and nice, but there were some problems too. The public toilets ran out of toilet paper and soap, and nobody replenished them; the lobby toilets weren't very clean either. Some staff could be more polite and patient. They also charge a high fine for broken glass, which seems easy to break in a hostel. We got stuck in the lift for about 10 minutes once. Nobody heard the emergency alarm, and after we pushed a lot of buttons it finally moved and the door opened. I also don't understand why eating and drinking in the rooms was forbidden.

This was my first hostel stay, and I had a great time. The atmosphere was really friendly, popular spots were close by, and the breakfast was both tasty and healthy. There's also a nice rooftop looking out over the city. Zahit and Abdurrahman at reception were great at their jobs. They even gave me an upper bunk because I was young and people usually choose the lower ones. Highly recommend it!
