Breakfast was sufficient, and the rooftop terrace had phenomenal views while we ate. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. We stayed on the bottom floor, where the mosquitoes were my only complaint, so keep the windows shut if there’s no net. Otherwise, a solid 5/5.

The breakfast spread changed each day, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We had a beautiful, spacious first-floor room with all the amenities we needed. Many attractions are within walking distance, and the metro and bus are easy to reach. We really enjoyed Dilhayat Kalfa Hotel’s antique charm and cozy atmosphere, and highly recommend a stay.

The breakfast terrace has wonderful views towards Marmara and the Bosporus, and the two ladies make different things for breakfast each day. The hotel has just six rooms and is ideally placed for the sights in Sultanhamet. Staff were very good, especially the reception managers, who were so helpful and never made anything feel like too much trouble. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone.

Manager Abdul was very nice and did try to help, and the location is good, within walking distance of most places of interest. But the stay was below average. We had twin/double room 17, which smelled stale. The beds creaked, some light switches didn’t work, and the shower screen was off its rails with a partly broken shower head holder. The junior suite was okay, and from what we could see, it was the only nice room there. The pictures show that room. Breakfast was shocking: stale bread, overboiled eggs with dark grey rings, and very little fruit. After the first day, we went elsewhere for breakfast.

The owner was friendly, and the location is good, but that’s why I’m giving three stars. This is a small hotel with only six rooms and no elevator. Our room was tiny, and they suggested leaving some of our luggage in the lobby. The phone didn’t work, so there was no way to call reception from the room. Don’t be misled by the pictures. Breakfast was below average. I guess you get what you pay for.
