Golden Hill

The air conditioning didn't work, so the room was really warm. The shower and toilet both leaked and worked badly, and there was no coffee or water in the room. I asked reception to bring water, but it never arrived. At $70, this place wasn't worth it at all. It doesn't feel like a hotel.

Our room was dirty and the toilet was moldy, and the staff had a very bad attitude. We stayed for three nights. When we left to walk around Istanbul one morning, we left our belongings and wallets in the room. A cleaner came in, handled all our things, and stole 100 euros from our wallet. The staff acted very arrogantly and wouldn't accept responsibility for these low actions.

The noise from construction nearby made it impossible to rest, and the Wi-Fi was almost unusable. The room smelled musty, wasn't clean, and had an uncomfortable bed. I tried raising these problems with staff, but their response was indifferent at best. There were also no basic toiletries, and the lighting didn't work properly. The place fell short of what it advertised from the moment I arrived. They don't deserve even one star, and I'd strongly advise finding somewhere else.

There were three different men at reception, and every one of them was rude and unprofessional. The hotel was filthy, the dirtiest I've ever seen. I slept in my clothes with my own towel over the pillow, and wouldn't touch the breakfast. Given how the rooms looked, I can only imagine what the kitchen was like. Next time I'd rather sleep on the street. Avoid this place at any cost.
