Grand Galata Hotel & Spa

We had a fantastic family stay at Grand Galata Hotel & Spa. The rooms were comfortable, the facilities were excellent, and the hotel felt warm and welcoming while offering the comforts you'd expect from a much bigger place. It was affordable and reliable too, and the location made it easy to explore Istanbul. Ozkan deserves special mention for his kindness, professionalism, and readiness to help. He went out of his way to keep everything running smoothly. We'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

We booked the Grand Galata at the last minute and were very happy with the stay. What stood out most was how friendly and helpful everyone was, from check-in through check-out. The hotel was clean, modern, and in a good spot. Breakfast was excellent, with a beautiful view, and the sauna and pool area were well kept. Most of the time, we had it to ourselves. We'd absolutely come back.

The room's sea view was awesome, a great way to take in Istanbul. The location also worked well for city activities, with shopping close by and Eminonu, Hagia Sophia, boat rides, cafés, and more shopping not far away. The hotel has a spa with a pool, sauna, and steam room, plus massage and hamam services. Breakfast had lots of options, perhaps more sweet things than European breakfasts usually do, but there were eggs, sausage, bread, salad, fruit, and more. The coffee bar could make whatever coffee you wanted, and they remembered what I'd had the day before. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Sabri Akay.

My room looked out over the Golden horn, and I spent seven magical nights there. The hotel was so new and everything felt incredibly high quality. The service, location, cleanliness, and atmosphere were all more than worth it. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and the restaurant on the 11th floor was superb. I also enjoyed a few conversations with the manager, Ozge Ozdal, who suggested an itinerary for my last day. I was glad I followed it. I'd definitely return to the Galata hotel and spa.
