Grand Ons Hotel

The location is the one good point: it's in a lively area, and from the seventh floor you can see the sea. The hotel itself was awful. Rooms are cramped, the bathroom is tiny, internet is very weak, and there's no sound insulation.

The dining room and terrace were a highlight. On the top floor, the dining area is bright and spacious, with an open rooftop terrace where you can eat outside or have coffee and smoke. The view over the buildings toward the Sea of Marmara is something else, and breakfast was unforgettable, with a wide choice that should suit even picky eaters. Everything was clean and neat. The hotel is quiet, and the rooms seem well insulated from sound. The foyer is small but immediately catches your eye, mixing modern colors with classic, luxurious design. The staff were kind and welcoming, and everyone seemed to do their job well. It's very close to the main street and tram. The rooms are small but efficient, with what you need, including slippers, a hair dryer, hangers, and a very powerful AC that cools things quickly. My only minor complaint is that there isn't a balcony. For a short break, though, you mostly just need the room to sleep in.

The food was terrible and there wasn't much choice, and the rooms felt too small and poorly laid out. The location was the only good part. We were there on a group tour, and honestly, this experience has put me off traveling with an agency again, since you can wind up somewhere like this.

Breakfast options were to my liking, and the hotel made shopping for clothes, especially wholesale, convenient. Shops could send luggage directly to our room numbers, which made handling purchases easier. The rooms mainly served as a practical, budget-friendly base for business-minded travelers.
