Hotel La Villa

The location was great, and breakfast was sufficient. I stayed from the end of October until early November 2025. The room looked like the pictures, faced the street, and was soundproof. It was small and dated, but comfortable and clean, with daily housekeeping. The Wi-Fi wasn’t good.

The rooms were so tiny I could barely breathe, and there wasn’t even space for one piece of luggage. There was no ventilation, and the price was ridiculous for that. The toilet seat had yellow stains, and the shower area was very small. There were no hooks in the toilet for a towel or personal things. The staff on both shifts were rude, didn’t speak English at all, and couldn’t understand anything. Such a bad hotel. I really don’t recommend it.

The location was good, but the rooms were small. The AC didn’t work, so we changed rooms twice looking for a better one. Even then, it wasn’t really good.

We spent six nights here, and the location was handy for seeing the area around Taksim Square. The AC and Wi-Fi worked fine, breakfast was okay with a few options, and the staff were relatively nice, not rude. Still, there’s a lot that needs improving. Communication was difficult because very few people spoke English. At 2 am, someone came into our room and woke us up scared, without any apology. The staff need training in hospitality and customer service. Our standard room was very small with barely any room to move, and there was no sunlight, so you couldn’t tell day from night. The corridor always smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The bathroom, toilet, and shower were dirty, with mold and dark marks visible everywhere. The shower door didn’t close properly, so water ran onto the toilet floor each time we showered. There was no tea, coffee, or hot water in the room, and our bedsheets weren’t changed during the whole stay.
