Waking up to the room's lovely view was a highlight. The place worked really well for my Istanbul visit, too: it's about a minute from the metro or tram, so getting to the archaeological museums and other nearby sights was easy and cheap.

Getting around from here was simple, and there are plenty of places to eat, grab coffee, or have a drink nearby. Tophane tram station is just a two-minute walk, and Galataport is close. A good taxi from the airport cost 400-500 lira; going back from the hotel to the airport was 350 lira.

The owner made the stay especially good. He was so kind, thoughtful, and helpful to tourists. There are restaurants and public transport nearby, and the view is lovely. It also wasn't too noisy outside. I recommend this place.

We left the same night we checked in with our family. The rooms had cockroaches and ants, the floors felt sticky, cleanliness was terrible, and the air conditioning didn't work. I reported it to the Ministry of Health, and can share photos or videos. When I asked for a refund, Mr. Cuma used insulting, profane language. I have the WhatsApp messages and will send them to anyone who asks. Three months later I followed up about the refund, and he was abusive again, acting like a so-called businessman. Think carefully before booking.
