Mete Apartments

The owner is friendly and the place is cheap, but the quality wasn’t good. The toilet was tiny, beside the kitchen, and water kept dripping when it was used until the kitchen flooded. I tried to check out early and wasn’t allowed. There are much better apartments nearby at the same price, so it wasn’t a good experience.

The toilet was clean, and I’d give cleanliness, room, WiFi, and staff responsiveness five stars. The bed was just normal, so three stars for comfort. The apartment has bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. The gas heater had a smell, which might be normal. Google took us from the Sultanehmet havaist bus stop from airport to the mete apartment. It’s close, but we didn’t know it was down a steep hill since it was our first time. Google brought us to reception, where the guy was great and helpful. From there, the apartment could be one or two blocks away. Overall, five stars.

For a budget trip, this was a humble, simple place and worked well for me. The address listed as "kadırga limanı cadesi küçük ayasofya mahalesi no 136 fatih istanbul no136" was wrong and confusing for taxi drivers and anyone trying to find it on Google Maps. On Booking.com, the place is called "Guest House Sultanahmet".

Mete is a very kind, helpful person who does his best to assist guests. The location is another plus, just a five-minute walk from major sights like (Blue-Mosque , Haga-Sophia). For a trip to Istanbul, Mete Apartment is a great place to stay.
