Ozio Istanbul Hotel

I didn’t even make it inside Hotel ozio. There was a fight between customers and the receptionist, and the taxi driver dropped us off and told us to find another taxi. The area was so dirty and crowded, even in the morning, that I was afraid for my family. The driver asked why I’d chosen that place when there were many good hotels. With our luggage, we struggled to find another taxi on arrival. Eventually a helpful driver took us to the Blue Mosque area, where we found very good hotels in a much more family-friendly neighborhood. This was the worst first day I’ve had. Hotel ozio is a scam and isn’t suitable even for bachelors. Stay away.

Our room wasn’t cleaned during the stay, even though we were told it would be. We only got fresh towels. The staff seemed unqualified and spoke little or no English. One employee had to use Google Translate, which made it hard to communicate. The hotel sits in a dirty, noisy part of the city, and the room condition was very poor. It was extremely dirty, with mold on the bathroom tiles and old, damaged furniture. I’d strongly recommend avoiding this place.

The only good part was the day shift receptionist. Breakfast was barely enough for a one-year-old, and noise went on all night so sleeping was impossible. The room was tiny despite being listed as “De lux”; the bed was small, poorly maintained, and quite dirty. The linens weren’t changed, and we got towels only if we asked. The booking listing said there was parking, but that wasn’t true. I had to find parking in town myself and paid €10 a day. I’ve never stayed in a worse hotel and don’t recommend it to anyone. It doesn’t deserve even one star.

The receptionist and owner were both kind and helpful. My sister and I spent a few days visiting this beautiful city and hotel. Thank you 🙏
