Everything was close by, and the hotel’s location was great. I’d book it again.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you have foot or mobility problems, since there’s a lot of walking up and down. I’d also booked a car to the airport for 7 a.m., but it didn’t arrive until 7:45. We got to the airport around 9:30, almost too late for my 10:30 flight.

Levent was a big help, especially since I’d booked at the last minute. The staff were accommodating and made the booking process easy. My room was very clean and had everything I needed, and the main Istanbul sights were close by. The value for money exceeded my expectations. I had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend it.

I’d confirmed on the hotel’s WhatsApp Business account before my stay that they’d keep my luggage until I returned to Istanbul. A few days after checkout, the owner told me to collect it as soon as possible and said he didn’t care because his wife had been the one to reply. I was horrified and suggested moving it somewhere else. He then became furious and spoke in a high-handed way, even though he’d complained himself about having to look after my belongings. It was a shame to stay at a hostel like this when there are many good Turkish people. There were problems during the stay as well. I asked for the room to be cleaned, but they didn’t make the bed, replace the toilet paper or drinking water, or change the towels. They only left the window open. Reception said it was staffed 24 hours, but nobody was there when I went to check out around 8 a.m. I called on WhatsApp and got no answer, though I could hear the phone ringing in the next room. It seemed a staff member was sleeping there. The outside door was locked, and I couldn’t open it from inside. When I tried, a sleepy-looking man came out and let me out without saying sorry. At check-in I’d asked a staff member for a second key, the one for the entrance, but they hadn’t explained this.
