The place was filthy and smelled bad. There were exposed electrical sockets, even in the bathroom, and the hairdryer was connected by an open wire to the underside of an exposed socket. I’ve never seen anywhere dirtier, and it wasn’t suitable to stay in.

Never again. They were vacuuming at midnight, banging the cart around and slamming doors. The rooms smelled like a smoking room, and the bathroom was dirty and stinky from the humidity, with no ventilation. The worst place I’ve ever stayed.

The room was spacious with a big bed, and clean enough. Pin Suites is in a large block shared by many companies in the hotel business. There’s one reception desk to point you to the right office on the ground floor, and check-in was uncomplicated. The building has one lift serving 13 floors. The bathroom showed clear signs of moisture. The shower drain was just an open tube with no siphon, and bad smells came up from it. Pouring lots of water into the hole was the only fix. There was no breakfast, so you have to buy it at one of the neighborhood restaurants. The TV had only 22 Turkish channels, and a minaret was 20 meters from the window, with the Islamic call to worship. Only one person at the hotel spoke English, though they spoke it very well. The others didn’t know a single word.

One of the worst places to stay in Istanbul. It smelled like a sewer, and they didn’t clean the room at all before checkout.
