Stone Home Apart

WiFi was good, much better than in many places in the old town, and the staff were friendly, though communication wasn’t great. We emailed a question before arriving and got no reply. The space is fairly large, with decent cooking utensils, but only one of the two hob rings worked. We mentioned it, but nothing was done. There was also no hot water for two hours while we were there because of a water problem. I don’t know if that happens often. Black mold in the shower needs a proper clean. It was an average stay, not bad value for the price, but I probably wouldn’t come back.

The man in charge was such a friendly, warm, helpful guy. I wish him all the best. The area is lovely and easy to get around, with cafes, restaurants, and markets nearby. It’s not far from the old city. The apartment has one unit per floor and a good amount of space: a large bedroom with a bed and a table with two chairs, plus another room with a bed, big sofas, and a closet. There’s a kitchen along the passageway and a large bathroom. It came with two air conditioners, two TVs, a fridge, microwave, knives, spoons, forks, dishes, mugs, cups, and an electric cooker. WiFi too. I really liked the place and felt sorry to leave. They just need to take a bit more care with cleaning.

The staff were helpful, and the place is in the city center. A wonderful place to stay, especially in Istanbul.

It isn’t a luxury hotel, but the staff are kind and you’re really close to the Blue Mosque and all the other great places.
