It's a well-kept building with just 16 rooms. Everyone on staff was lovely and helpful when we had questions. Blue Mosque Sophia Hage Mosque and other attractions are only a short walk away. A wonderful hotel.

Mehmed made the recommendations and arrangements spot on. Over five nights, he suggested places and tours that were exactly what I wanted, arranged taxi service, and answered every question with wit and good explanations. The staff were excellent, my room was modern and very nice, and breakfast was always great. From the moment I arrived, Mehmed, the owner, was welcoming. He became a host, an advisor, a guardian and a friend. Every night he invited me to sit with his friends, and brought the conversation together so naturally even though I don't speak Turkish. For a great stay and maybe a new friend, go to Hotel Sultan Mehmed in Istanbul.
