We stayed 8 nights and didn’t have a single disappointment. The rooms were fresh and clean, the housekeeper excellent, and the sea view from the corner suite was beautiful. The location is great, just a few minutes’ walk from the ferry terminal and Galataport, with lots of nice-looking restaurants. There’s also a 270-year old mosque right next to the hotel. The staff deserve special thanks. Emir, Eyup, Erdi, Yunus, Talha, Abdullah and a female staff member were friendly and helpful. There were a few others whose names I can’t recall. They also looked smart in their jackets and peacoats, and all had good looks. We were very happy at Wings Hotel, and anyone wanting to pray at the mosque should feel comfortable staying here. A couple of small ideas: I’d have preferred a firmer bed, though that may just be my preference, and the rooftop terrace looks a little humble compared with the rooms and could use an upgrade.

Maryam and Youns made us feel welcome and were very helpful. It was a lovely stay, and I especially enjoyed the lemon juice they served at reception. Thanks to them for their hospitality. :)

Location, staff and the condition of the hotel were all excellent, and I highly recommend Wings Hotel. Just two things bothered me. The hairdryer had an old rubber sticker coating that stuck to my hands, with dirt from previous users stuck to it that couldn’t be cleaned off. It was never fixed. After walking the city all day, I’d have liked to sit at the lovely rooftop restaurant with a glass of wine and watch the sunset, but alcohol isn’t allowed, so I had to go elsewhere. Those were the only disappointments. Everything else was truly excellent.

The refusal to allow a downgrade despite availability was disappointing. Then an unexpected personal situation came up, and the hotel wouldn’t offer any flexibility for the two nights I couldn’t use. I’ve tried to reach the hotel manager for over 24 hours without a response. There’s been no flexibility or basic support, which makes this unacceptable.

That rooftop terrace was my favorite place to slow down after exploring. My room was spotless and cozy, with what I needed, and the hotel has a stylish, considered design. The location also worked well, peaceful enough to relax while still close to lively areas. From arrival, the staff made me feel welcome and did their best to make the stay go smoothly.
