Valens Hotel Downtown

Complaining about the conditions got us a hostile response, including staff shouting profanities at us. The service was horrible. The room was filthy, the bed looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, and it clearly hadn’t been vacuumed or dusted for ages. I found cockroaches crawling around. Hygiene was nonexistent and it felt like a health hazard. The food looked unhygienic, tasted terrible, and honestly turned my stomach. This was without a doubt the worst hotel stay of my life.

A wonderful hotel with great service. I booked it for my mom, and we were both really satisfied. The staff were kind, especially Can. Highly recommend!

I booked several nights but left as soon as I could. The facilities are neglected, with furniture coming apart, filthy stained sheets, and torn, dirty curtains. There seems to have been renovation some years back, but nothing has been replaced since. The lobby and reception feel like they date from the 80s, probably when the hotel was built. It’s advertised as a 4 star hotel, but it isn’t close. I’d give it 2 stars because the staff are trying their best. They’re understaffed and cover several roles, but it’s not enough for a property in this state. The manager is ignorant and doesn’t even speak English. Poor management sums it up, and the place urgently needs a new owner or at least new management. I wouldn’t recommend it. The Hampton hotel 30meters away is classed as 3 star and feels like a 7 star hotel compared with Valens. Also, the pool and gym cost extra and aren’t included in your stay. Ridiculous place, poor management again.

We booked 4 rooms, and none had been properly cleaned. In one room, COACKROACHES were coming out from the floors and walls, and there was used women’s underwear on the bed. The rooms were super dirty, the breakfast was so poor there was literally nothing to eat, and the location was very inconvenient. There were 3 of us in one room, but they provided only one key. There was no iron, either. Whenever we asked for anything, we got a rude rejection. They refused when we asked for compensation or a refund. We were told the manager wouldn’t be available until Monday, about THREE days away. They promised he’d call if we asked to speak by phone, but we were ignored again. This hotel ruined our experience. Worst hotel in the world.
