Vizyon Hotel - Old City

The staff were friendly and tried to help, but the room felt like a human rights violation. Some people may call the location central, but they leave out how awful the street is. Scooby Doo would have a lot to deal with there. Please don’t stay here. If price is your only concern, though, you could go for it.

I was shown a standard room on the website, then given a completely different room when I arrived. It was extremely cramped, barely had room to move, and smelled terrible. When I raised the issue, staff said I’d have to pay extra to get the standard room from the listing. That felt misleading and dishonest. It seems they use attractive photos to bring in bookings, then put guests in a lower quality room and hope they don’t object. I’m sharing photos of the actual condition. Avoid Vizyon hotel old City if you don’t want to feel scammed.

The trams stop just across the street, and you can book a shuttle to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. I stayed in a ground floor room. The owner was very helpful, and breakfast was great. It’s also close to the Grand Bazaar, Hyga Sophia Museum, and Blue Mosque.

The staff are lovely, and the place is very clean in a good location on the back streets. But even the deluxe room is tiny, with barely enough space to walk around the bed or bring in luggage. There’s nowhere to put your things, so you end up trying to lift suitcases onto the bed. In summer it gets like a little oven because the AC doesn’t work, and you may have to climb several flights of stairs whenever you come and go. I wouldn’t recommend it.
