World House Boutique Hotel Galata

After a long international flight, we especially appreciated our fresh, clean, quiet room and great bed. The hotel is in a lovely area with lots of shops and restaurants, and they look after three specific cats. We fell in love with one of them. The team were so helpful. Atacan greeted us, carried our bags upstairs, and explained the amenities, including free fruit, coffee, tea, sodas, water, and snacks. We were up very early, and Erkan, working the night shift, was cheerful and happy to tell us what time it was in the city. Ismail was just as helpful, made sure our transfer car was on its way, and brought us a complimentary parting drink from the coffee shop, which is part of the hotel. Five stars all around for this group!

Galata is a great base for exploring Beyoglu and further afield, especially if it’s your first time in Istanbul. Turn right from the entrance to head uphill towards Istikal ave and Taksim, or left downhill towards the river, ferry, and tram. Public transport is close, and it was easy to reach by taxi. Just keep in mind that the street gets busy, particularly at night. I stayed four nights and had a wonderful time. The room was comfortable, clean, and had great amenities, and the staff were really friendly. The cafe is lovely, with great coffee, and hotel guests get 50% off food and drinks. Definitely recommended.

We stayed for two nights and only dreaded the leaving part. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and help with our luggage. We’d just come from another hotel in Trabzon after poor service, so this was a welcome change. Mr Murat was like an old friend, welcoming us with Turkish coffee and tea and kindly upgrading us to the magnificent top-floor suite. The stairs didn’t matter. The room was beautifully presented, clean, cosy, and tastefully elegant, with high-quality amenities. Fresh tea and coffee came in a French press, the beds were superb and so comfortable that we slept like logs, and the views of Galata and the Bospherous Sea were spectacular and mesmerising. Everyone treated us like family and gave five-star service throughout our short stay. We’ve stayed in many five-star hotels, and this one belongs on that list. We had a platter of fresh fruit and complimentary drinks from the minibar, things you don’t get at some top-rated hotels. They also have their own coffee and gift shop. Most of all, the team knows how to host guests, which reflects so well on the establishment and management. We’re grateful to Mr Murat, who helped with check-in, Mr Ismail, who helped with check-out, Mr Eren, and the coffee shop team, who served lovely tea, coffee, and fresh delicious cakes. Even the hotel cat was charming and friendly 😻. The location is top notch, with Istikal street nearby and the sea for the ferry crossing a 20-minute walk away. You can touch the Galata Tower from your balcony! We’ll definitely return and recommend it to family and friends. Thank you all for your wonderful hard work ❣️

The rooms were spotless, and the hotel had an intimate, welcoming feel with thoughtful attention to detail throughout our four nights. The team is what made it especially lovely: everyone was kind, friendly, and ready to help with a smile. Ismail welcomed us warmly from the start, Murat helped us throughout the stay, and the café staff were kind and warm as well. It’s rare to feel so cared for and at home in a hotel, but it came naturally here. We’ll certainly come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul 🤍.
