Zeyrek Historical Wooden Ottoman House Mini-hotel

We paid $170 for a room advertised with three beds and amenities like a kitchen, washing machine, and ironing facilities. When we arrived, none of those services were available. They also wanted another $90 for a third adult, even though the room had three beds.

Not a bad hotel, but a room isn’t always available.

There were stains on the pillow and what looked like period stains on the blanket, and the floor was dirty. I also found cigarette ash in the bathroom. They charged me 1,000 lira for a hostel room, though I slept there alone. There are better places available.

It’s in a residential neighborhood, and my room had no window, just a bed and nightstand. There was nowhere to hang clothes and no chair or closet. The shower drain was blocked, so water was practically spilling into the room. It may be a wider issue, since water was dripping from the ceiling at reception too.
