Ishmael ripped me off for 280tl. He’s a stocky, chubby, bearded man. The experience badly affected how I felt about Turkish people, which is a shame. Please be warned.

In the historic center, close to the beach, with a garden. From 40 euros.

I called three times on the day I was due to check in, after making my reservation four days earlier, just to confirm everything was okay. When I arrived, the room wasn’t ready, and I couldn’t understand the attitude from the staff and management. They said, “If you don’t like the room, we can refund your money, is there a problem?” I hadn’t said anything negative, and it felt like they didn’t want me to stay. Even after the room was ready, I was left waiting. Nobody came to tell me, “Your room is ready, sir.” I don’t understand what kind of business this is. I was so upset that I decided not to stay and left.

We were disappointed with our stay. The room for four felt really cramped, the toilet wouldn’t flush properly, and the shower curtain kept coming down. It also wasn’t very clean. When we arrived, the children spotted a dead mouse on the ground floor. We left without eating breakfast.
