The natural rock keeps the room cold and damp, and having an open shower inside adds even more humidity. If you’re sensitive to moisture or need a really dry space, that could be a problem. Still, yes, it’s absolutely worth the experience. Bring warm socks and an open mind. The family who runs this cave house used to live here, and you can feel its character in every detail. It’s an authentic, cozy place, designed with care, full of heart and history. The valley views are unreal, especially at sunrise, and it’s wonderfully quiet and unique.

The staff were the one good part of the stay. I booked because I thought it would be nice to sleep in a historic place, but getting up to the hotel meant climbing badly kept, broken steps. The room had poor lighting, and the restroom and shower were inside the room in a way that made it feel like a prison. The shower was awful, and there was no TV. I wouldn’t recommend staying there.

We stayed four nights with my wife and our five-year-old daughter, and it was one of the best rooms I’ve had after lots of travel around Turkey. It was very comfortable and cool, thanks to powerful floor-mounted air conditioning. The staff were fantastic and always ready to help, and the breakfast was great, with a full spread of Mardin food. The hotel is central, just a short walk from the main street and popular restaurants. Thanks for making our stay memorable.

The hilltop setting gives you a panoramic view of Mardin and a secluded feel, but getting there means tackling lots of stairs. That can be rewarding or difficult depending on your fitness. Shuttle buses and other drop-offs usually leave you on the main road, so you’ll need to call the hotel for help. Our room was up the stairs, cool inside, and elegantly designed, a comfortable and stylish retreat. Mirsoum Hotels became the backdrop for an unforgettable engagement ceremony with our families. We visited last year, and those memories are still among our most cherished from Turkey. The hotel’s intimate size made it easy to connect with the staff. They were professional, warm, and attentive, and made us feel valued. The team took time to understand what we wanted for the terrace dinner and tailored it to our vision. Fresh flowers decorated the tables, and the food was exceptional, beyond what we expected. We’re so grateful for the care and love they showed our families. The service and attention to detail made the celebration truly special, and we’ll always treasure those memories.

Hakki greeted me on my first day and treated me so well. He showed me around, suggested wonderful places, and made me feel at home. He’s cultured, speaks several languages, and helped with everything I needed. The other staff were lovely too, and shared some fun with me. The hotel and room are beautiful, nicely decorated, and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and kind, and the food was delicious. I had the best lentil soup of my life. I’m very grateful and will come back on a future trip. The best hotel in Mardin.
