There's a very old historical feel to this boutique hotel in the center of Merzifon town. It has an authentic atmosphere and really kind staff.

The building is a three-hundred-year-old caravanserai, beautifully restored in its original style and now operating as a hotel. Its atmosphere still carries traces of the caravans that passed through. I only wish we'd had a full day to spend there. On our return from the Black Sea to Istanbul, we wanted to stay in Samsun because the drive was long, but the prices were far too high. Looking at the route, I spotted Merzifon and then Merzifon Taşhan otel. The reviews looked good, so we booked. I think they should add some local flavors to breakfast.

As someone from Mardin, I especially enjoyed staying in a stone building. My work has taken me to hotels all over, from west to east and south to north. Some I hated, some I loved and returned to many times. Taşhan Hotel is one I liked and would gladly stay in again. People mention that there's no air-conditioning and that the rooms are so-so. But this is an old building, and I don't think it's fair to complain about missing air-conditioning or even a TV. If I were in charge, I'd add a hammam and some books to make the stay feel more authentic, instead of TVs, jacuzzis, and other tech amenities. This is a 17th-century building, after all. Some say the food and drinks are expensive, but there's a Köfteci Yusuf nearby for anyone who prefers that. Even when I'm tired, I recommend sitting in the central courtyard for tea and a meal. You really should come, stay, and experience the place.

We came to Merzifon for a friend's wedding and spent one night at this lovely hotel. The staff were attentive, the rooms clean, and breakfast was good and filling. We'd be happy to stay again if we get the chance.

It's a very central hotel, and the service was excellent. The inn has been brought back to life, and staying there felt like a trip back in time. It was cold inside during our April visit, even though the weather was harsh, but it was manageable. I don't think it's very suitable for winter. Breakfast was average, not very good, though maybe that was because it wasn't the season. The price was reasonable. I'd definitely recommend visiting and staying here in summer, and I thank the owners again for reviving the inn.
