Fengjia K Hotel

From 5 PM to 9 PM I kept trying to reach them after going to Fengjia, and got no reply. They'd added me on Line after the booking was confirmed, then read my messages without answering. Forget the room quality, they didn't provide even basic service. I honestly wondered whether this guesthouse was still operating. I ended up driving all the way from Taichung back to Douliu to find a hotel. It's the most infuriating booking experience I've ever had, and I hope people who see this won't book here. It could ruin your mood and your trip 💢.

The sheets were stained, and the toilet walls had mould. The sink fixtures were old and water collected there; the shower water turned cool after five minutes. The floor was covered in rubbish, the TV didn't work, and payment meant putting the exact cash amount in a mailbox and recording a video. They also only supplied very thin disposable towels. The photos and description don't match the place at all, and it wasn't nearly as clean as pictured. Its one redeeming point is the location near Feng Chia University, though it cost almost NT$2,000. :)

For two people it cost $2480, and I'd never stayed somewhere like this before. The room was extremely bare and smelled strongly musty; the floor was uneven and mouldy, and the pillows and blankets were stained and musty too. Even the bath towels were the thin disposable kind. The pictures and description didn't match. The main door's combination lock was very hard to press. To pay, I had to put the exact amount in cash in the mailbox and record a video to confirm it before they'd give me the password. It was incredibly inconvenient. I felt the owners had no intention of running the place properly.

There's no parking, but the location inside Fengjia Night Market is convenient for finding food. The room was very basic and came with disposable toiletries. The air conditioner leaked and didn't cool well. When we arrived, the table was covered in water, so we had to put plastic bags under the dripping water to catch it.
