The open dining and lounge areas feel roomy, while everyone still has their own private space. Rooms have just six beds, with separate showers and toilets for men and women. They also provide thick, generously sized towels, and there’s a McDonald's upstairs that’s open 24/7.

Getting around Taipei was easy from here since it’s so close to Taipei Main Station. The front desk team were friendly and professional, and being able to leave our luggage there made travel much simpler. I’d definitely recommend it.

The staff were so sweet, and the place was clean, organized, and really comfortable. I haven’t stayed in a hostel for almost ten years, but I felt at home enough that I didn’t want to leave. The thoughtful decor was lovely, and they provided towels too. There are no windows, and as a tall person I found the beds a little short. They gave me an upper bunk, though, and it was still okay.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but this stay was a real disappointment. I chose the hostel for the location and ended up with bed bug bites that lasted more than 15 days and left permanent scars on both legs. I also saw a dead cockroach in the common area. I told the hostel these were hygiene problems, but they wouldn’t take responsibility or refund me, saying no other guests had reported anything. When I asked for a refund, they sent me to Agoda. After several rounds of back and forth, Agoda offered just a $6 voucher, which felt extremely inadequate. The location is convenient, but I’d strongly suggest Star Hostel or Taiwan Youth Hostel instead. I stayed with them when I extended my trip, trust me.
