Royal Rose Hotel Zhongshan

The neighborhood has a lot of character, and the hotel is just a few minutes from the subway. Our room was plenty big. I wasn’t sure about the glass-walled bathroom when I saw the photos, but it turned out to be very soundproof, and the curtains gave enough privacy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Google Maps pointed us to exit 2, but there’s no escalator there. Try exit 1 or 5 instead.

We had a great time here. The room was clean and big enough for me, my partner, and our daughter. Staff were very nice, and there’s a shared area with free snacks. The location is handy too, near a bus stop, Mc Donald's, KFC, and convenience stores.

The little walk from Zhongshan Station Exit 1 or 2, about 8-10 minutes without an escalator, was worth it for how comfortable the stay felt. The hotel seems to have been renovated recently, and the bright, spacious room has a lovely minimalist look. Even the corridors are well lit, which I appreciated since hotel hallways are often so dim. The bed was comfy, and the whole place felt welcoming. There are snacks available around the clock on Level 1, plus a washing machine for guests. Sound carries a bit through the gap under the door, so you can hear doors opening and closing, but there were only three rooms on our floor and it stayed pretty quiet. The area has lots of good Japanese restaurants, including one right across the street that gets long weekend lines. Maybe next time! First stay here, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re fine with a short walk.

We spent three nights here. The staff were friendly, and if you want the room cleaned, you need to ask Reception during the designated daytime hours. Our room had a modern feel and plenty of space. I was pleasantly surprised to get a bathtub at this price, and the toilet had a heated seat and built-in bidet. They’d also left a dehumidifier in the room. Nice to have, though with the AC running, I didn’t really need it. I didn’t look around the immediate neighborhood much, but I did visit Zhongshan. It’s a nice area with lots of shops and malls.
