Ted was especially helpful, and the woman at the front desk was always pleasant and welcoming, though I never got her name. The staff were polite and helpful. The Indonesian cleaning crew did an excellent job every day, and the place was clean with a range of amenities. The location is a five-star point for me. There’s a nearby Fitness Factory, breakfast places, a haircut spot, and some great streets for walking. My only wish is that the showers got a little hotter. If your room doesn't face the street, set alarms, because you can't tell the time of day or how much time has passed and may sleep late or lounge around instead of going out to play, eat, walk, or travel. I stayed for 10 days and found the long 1-star review by someone with 40 reviews suspicious and fictional. I can't say whether it came from a competitor or someone spreading hate, but I think individual reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt. There are fake positive and negative reviews, and this hotel definitely isn't one star.

The walls are thin, so it's not very soundproof, and ambulance sirens are easy to hear. Still, the rooms were tidy and clean, with strong water pressure and friendly, attentive staff. There's a complimentary coffee machine and light snacks in the lobby. Shuanglian MRT is a three-minute walk away, and Ningxia night market is only 850m away. Comfortable overall, and excellent.

The room is small, like in Japan, but the location is good and it's easy to get to the metro and food. Free coffee and snacks are available.

The manager and staff were incredibly kind during my month-long stay, after I unexpectedly gave birth to my extremely premature daughter while visiting Taiwan and she was admitted to the hospital across the street. The location along a main street was ideal and not too noisy. The hotel occupies the whole building, so it has a large lobby with several people at reception. Downstairs there's an espresso machine, free chips and cookies, a washer dryer that costs $100 NT, and a fridge with a freezer. I made myself lots of free hot chocolates and lattes. The place is clean, bright, and newly fitted out. A shelf in my bathroom had a small problem that didn't bother me, and I made a temporary fix, but the cleaning staff noticed and sent someone to repair it without me asking. Management said the ownership had changed earlier this year and remodeling had just been completed. Ask for a room with a window. I stayed in rm 505, with a lovely large window facing the hospital and trees right outside, giving some privacy when the blinds were open. When I needed to extend my stay, the manager rearranged things so I could keep the same room even though the hotel was filling up. Reception staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The cleaning staff, who I believe were Indonesian, were also very friendly and eager to help, though Chinese and English could sometimes be a language barrier. I only left because a nearby month-to-month rental was more affordable for a longer stay. Highly recommend.
