Freedom Design Hotel

Those resident cats were the highlight of my trip 🐾. They're so friendly and clearly well cared for, and they give the outdoor area loads of character. I had a wonderful stay at Freedom Hotel too, and would recommend it if you want somewhere warm and welcoming with a bit of personality.

The fish outside the main entrance looked really hungry 🥺, and I hope they’re being looked after. The walk to Taimall takes about 10 minutes and can feel quite quiet. Inside, though, this is a cute, unusual hotel with spacious rooms and lobby and a relaxing atmosphere ❤️. I especially appreciated having a free washer and dryer in the laundry room on every floor 🙏. Breakfast had a decent selection too.

The facilities had everything I needed, and WiFi was available throughout the hotel. Staff could speak English, which was better than what I’ve found at many five-star hotels in Taiwan. Breakfast was good enough to start the day, though it wasn’t especially delicious. Service was excellent.

I spent two months here while relocating and the stay was better than I expected. The reception team were kind and helped me a lot since I only speak English. Little conveniences made daily life easier, like borrowing bikes and having laundry on every floor. The bed was comfortable, and the bath and shower setup was great. Breakfast was good and had healthy choices. There are also free snacks and drinks at any hour, plus massage chairs that I really liked. The nearest MRT is Shanbi, and a cab from the hotel there was around TWD135. Highly recommend!
