The owner wasn’t nice, though his wife was better. There were 20 people staying there, with little comfort and poor cleanliness. The stove didn’t work, people left their dishes unwashed, and there were only a few forks, knives, and plates. The price was good, though: 1400 uah for a month or 400uah for a week.

The location is good, and the sale price is rock-bottom. Otherwise, the conditions are awful. It might work if saving a lot is the priority and you’re not easily overwhelmed, but there are much better deals nearby for a little more.

There’s no sign or other identifying mark outside, and the website photos don’t match what you find. The walls are peeling, the mattresses are stained, the bedding is dirty, and the toilets are full of rats, cockroaches, and bed bugs. It stinks, there are drunk people, and going to the bathroom feels scary. I stayed one night and spent all of it in the tiny kitchenette because I was afraid to sleep beside drug addicts. In the morning, the administrator acted surprised that there were drunk people in her hostel. It’s a miserable hole, definitely not a hostel.
