Hostel Sakvoiaj

The staff were pleasant, and they handed us towels as soon as we checked in and showed us where to shower. I was surprised at how clean the bathroom and shower were. The room was cozy and clean, and the rates were affordable. There's also a kitchenette with everything needed to make tea or heat up food.

It's a 20-minute walk to the train station, which was the main plus for me. The hostel is on the fourth floor of an old Khrushchev-era building, up a narrow flight of stairs. Inside, it's two apartments joined together with five rooms, all old, small, and cramped. It took me a while to work up the nerve to get into that dreadful shower.

Friendly staff, good public transportation that's easy enough to find, and a nice cafe right outside the courtyard. The place was clean, cozy, and had what I needed. Sound carries too loudly between rooms, though. If you're there for business or leisure and just need to stay overnight, iron clothes, and shower, that may be okay if your neighbors are quiet.

I had a private room. It's basic and a little cramped, but works for a simple overnight stay when you don't need extra comfort. Decent hostel for a reasonable price.
