The apartment was disgustingly dirty, smelly and noisy, though the location is great if you’re going out in central Belfast. We were given a street-view room instead of the river view we’d booked, and it was VERY noisy, which spoiled any chance of finding something positive about the place. I took photos when we arrived. The bathroom tap was broken and kept dripping, and the apartment had a weird smell. There seemed to be a certain clientele, with noise and smells coming from several surrounding rooms. The woman on reception was attentive when I complained about the noise; I understand it’s not easy to control, but it’s something to keep in mind when booking. We got our deposit back within 48hrs of checkout, so there was no issue with that. AVOID !!

I stayed at Dream Apartment Belfast on the 19th of December and paid a £100 deposit by bank transfer because I was told their card machine wasn’t working. After checkout, the money wasn’t returned. The written receipt said the refundable deposit would be back within 72 hours after checkout, and there had been no damage when I left. I contacted the property several times by phone and email. Calls went unanswered, or I was told the matter would be passed to the finance team, but there was no explanation or follow-up. I was never told why they were keeping the deposit, and they’ve since changed their phone number, so I can’t contact them directly. I’m based in the Republic of Ireland, which has made this even more frustrating. They also said they couldn’t give me a receipt because the payment was made by bank transfer, which I find unacceptable. I’ve reported it to NI Consumerline because this appears to be a breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and I’m considering taking it to the Small Claims Court. Poor communication, no transparency and unprofessional handling of customer funds. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I'm here right now and the luxury was nothing like advertised. I was given the wrong apartment, and my sea view is actually the side of the Royal Mail building. The place is dirty and outdated. The heaters are old, the boiler has to be boosted yourself, and there’s no kettle or TV controller. If you’re planning something special, don’t be fooled by the fancy photos. Go elsewhere.

This property is a Big Scam. I booked Dream Apartments Belfast through Agoda and paid a £100 refundable security deposit at check-in. The written receipt says it would be refunded within 72 hours after checkout, but I checked out on 4 January with no damage and still haven’t received the money. I asked Agoda to help recover the £100 from the property, but they said they couldn’t connect with Dream apartment. So both Agoda and this property are doing this kind of scam.

!!!!!!!!!!AVOID!!! We spent ages trying to reach them to get our check-in details and had to call about 3 times before they tried to send anything. They eventually rang back and said we’d been upgraded to a luxury apartment somewhere else. The codes they gave us didn’t work. Once we got into the place, there was no key. A woman on the phone didn’t believe us until we sent pictures of the empty key box, and then we found out someone was living in that apartment. They sent us back to the original apartments, where the beds hadn’t been changed, the mattresses were torn, the floors filthy and sticky, and there were vomit stains on the carpet. The place smelled of smoke and weed. We called to complain and were given another apartment number, but once again there was no key, so it was obvious someone else was staying there too. We eventually got an apartment that was passable, but it was still unclean, had damaged walls and didn’t feel comfortable. We were meant to stay another night, but left the next day. We couldn’t wait to get out.
