I was in Birmingham for two nights of work training, and the stay was comfortable and hassle-free. The hotel has plenty of parking and is wheelchair accessible, which is helpful for older guests and anyone with mobility needs. The breakfast cafeteria is inside the hotel, and its modern décor is especially pleasant. Both the room and shared areas were clean, tidy, and smelled fresh. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the service was good. I’d happily recommend it.

We came back for Crufts and had another fantastic stay. The hotel welcomes dogs, though we didn’t hear any barking. You can hear planes taking off from the nearby airport, but it wasn’t bothersome. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and attentive, and it’s a 12mins drive to NEC. We’ll definitely return.

The staff know what they’re doing and helped make the stay a good one, even though the hotel seems to operate with very few people. We had a meal deal with breakfast, which was good value. Some things weren’t available, including burgers, sticky toffee pudding, banana and beans at breakfast, but the alternatives we got were good. One of the lifts was out of order, which isn’t ideal in a building with 10 floors of rooms. I’d wanted to stay here for a while and chose it for a trip to the NEC. It’s well placed for that, around a 15 to 20 minute drive even with the mandatory roadworks. The rooms are good for a budget hotel and the price was OK. I’d stay again.

Parking is easy, just across from the hotel, and there’s a large costa coffee downstairs. The rooms stay quiet as long as you keep the windows shut, so outside noise doesn’t bother you. I do wish the windows were clean, though. I like their unusual shapes, but the dirt takes away from them. I stay here when I go to see aston villa. It’s in a familiar area where I feel safe, and I really like coming back. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff friendly and helpful, and I like having a bathtub and shower together. Standard and premier rooms are basically the same, apart from the premier coffee machine, hot chocolate and kit kats. I tried dinner once and enjoyed it, and staff even helped take it to my room.

The shower barely runs, just a constant drip, so after 3 nights without a proper shower I’m checking out and moving to another hotel tomorrow. I’ve booked flexibly, as I always do. I stayed at london bank for 2 days, 2 days ago, and it was brilliant, so this has been a real letdown. They ask for pictures, but you’d need a video to show how poor the water pressure is. The car park is tiny too, so you have to use the big shopping car park.
