I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. Our room was a fair size, but cold, damp and dirty, with an extremely uncomfortable bed and dirty bedding. The little bathroom was very dated and filthy too. The corridor to the room constantly smelled of smoke, and there was rarely anyone at reception. We only found out after booking that the hotel didn’t have a bar.

The room was very basic and didn’t feel homely. The floor was dirty, and the bedding looked and smelled as if it hadn’t been changed, which made me uncomfortable. We booked a last-minute one-night stay at The butterfly after seeing the lovely photos and a deal mentioning a bar and pool table. Only after we’d paid, and learned the payment was non-refundable, did the confirmation say the bar wasn’t open. That was really disappointing and felt like false advertising. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Had a lovely stay at the butterfly. Sam and her mam were great company, and the hosts were lovely. Everything was clean and tidy. Looking forward to staying again next weekend.

The room was spotless, a good size, and had a decent shower. The bar was well stocked until we left, the music was great, and they took requests. Sam and Michelle were up for a laugh, and the decorations in the bar and room were spot on. They went out of their way to make sure the hen and the rest of us had a brilliant time. I’ve never had an experience quite like it with such friendly, helpful women. No request was too small. Loved it and can’t wait to come back!

The rooms were basic, but for the price I really couldn’t complain. We had a wicked weekend, with amazing, welcoming staff and a great bar and games room. I’d definitely recommend it for a stag do. Thanks again, until next time 😉
