The host and entertainment were incredible, made everyone feel welcome, and we had such a good laugh. We stayed over the bank holiday weekend and the location was great, not far from the beach. Breakfast was an amazing buffet followed by a full English, and dinner came with two choices plus a starter and dessert. The room was okay. Nothing was wrong with it, though it could use a touch-up, and I can see they're refurbishing. I'd recommend this hotel.

We'd planned to come back next year, but after this stay we feel completely cheated. The prices seemed wildly inconsistent: friends booked for the same dates and paid less than a third of what we did, and are set to pay much less again next year. I asked for a discount, or at least to have the unused breakfast taken off the bill since it was supposedly included. The host refused. I'd overheard her telling other guests that breakfast cost £8 per person per day and could be booked separately. Hopefully we'll at least get our deposit back. Our first room felt extremely dirty, with a strong mould smell, a worn-out mattress, broken furniture, damaged walls and clear water damage. Wallpaper was peeling, sections of the ceiling were coming down, and the bathroom had serious problems. After we complained, we were moved to another room. It looked cleaner at first, but the wallpaper was peeling there too. The door stuck and slammed loudly whenever it closed, which couldn't be avoided, so our neighbours understandably complained. The thin walls let every conversation through, however quiet, and we could hear our neighbour snoring loudly. Extremely disappointing, never again.

The bed in room one smells really bad, and the whole hotel needs a proper clean. This is the second time I've posted this review because the first one disappeared.

We had a brilliant time and would definitely go back. The staff were so friendly, and the barman was absolutely brilliant too!

The food was great, the staff were good and the entertainment was good too. But the place needs refurbishing. There was no hot water, and I couldn't turn the radiator off.
