The bus and tram links are good and regular, and the city and sights are within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious, with authentic Scottish options. Our room was big enough, quiet and cosy. Some rooms are in the “house” across the street, so I can partly understand the bad reviews about those. It’s a great boutique hotel, and the staff are caring. Zoltan gave us some of the best tips for our city trip.

The restaurant was astounding, and I especially recommend the Traditional Scottish Breakfast. The rooms were amazing, with all the amenities, a king-size bed, two very comfortable chairs and some interesting books. The staff were beyond amazing. They helped with our luggage to and from the taxi and suggested places to visit and eat, along with ideas to make our days better. Weather delays forced us to stay an extra two days, but it was no problem, and we even kept our original room. The Roseate is quiet, the service and restaurant are amazing, and everything about it made our Scotland trip so special. Thanks so much. Best wishes, Dayne and Tamara Wielgoz.

Zoltan and Alexander were really great, and the hotel has a classy, welcoming feel with a very high standard of interior design. The vanity bath was a treat, and the Noble Isle diffusers were really nice. Breakfast was very tasty too, especially the eggs royale and pancake, with good coffee. Two buses connect the hotel to Edinburgh centre in under 10 minutes. A discretionary 5% service charge was paid at the end of the stay.

We had a spectacular honeymoon at The Roseate House. Our Executive Suite was in the beautiful main building, where reception is. The hotel is lovely and perfectly located, with a picturesque walking path nearby leading to Dean Village, and an easy, comfortable drive to the airport. Zoltan made our stay feel special and effortless from the moment we arrived. His attention to detail, kindness and understanding of my partner’s sickness meant a lot to us. We also highly recommend the excellent afternoon tea. Max’s service was impeccable. A wonderful experience for such a special occasion.

We spent four nights at The Roseate Edinburgh, and from beginning to end it was unforgettable. The Roseate Suite was spacious, beautifully designed and full of character. Its comfort, elegance and thoughtful details made it feel special. The building’s architecture is stunning, mixing classic beauty with refined luxury. Each corner feels carefully put together and full of history, while still warm and welcoming. The staff’s professionalism and kindness made us feel truly cared for, and nothing seemed too much trouble. A heartfelt thank you to Alexander in particular. He was an incredible host and a wonderful person. Across the four days he made us feel at home, and by the end we’d truly become friends. His city tips and suggestions for hidden gems were spot on and made Edinburgh even more memorable. Thanks, Alexander, for your warmth, stories and passion for this beautiful city. We also loved the whiskies we had at the hotel. The selection was excellent and made a perfect end to our evenings. The Roseate Edinburgh has soul, elegance and heart. We can’t recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to returning.
