Ted loved exploring the grounds and walking toward the woods, and the staff made such a fuss of him throughout our stay. At breakfast they even brought him cut-up sausages in his own bowl, a small gesture that meant a lot to us. The food was beautifully presented, and breakfast was organised very well. We stayed one night on 14th February with our dog and were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Shelbie on reception was wonderful with Ted and gave him one of his favourite treats. We were first shown to the annexe, but the toilet cistern wasn’t working properly. We let reception know after about 20 minutes, and a kind gentleman came quickly. He temporarily stopped it running, then arranged another room. Within 10 minutes we’d moved to a lovely room in the main hall, which felt like an upgrade and was much appreciated. Every member of staff was lovely, and we had a really positive, memorable visit. We’ll definitely be back soon and are looking forward to our next stay.

Our lodge room had everything we needed, with clean bedding and fresh towels, and it stayed lovely and warm through the evening and night. There was plenty of parking and it was easy to get to the lodges at the back. The hotel and grounds were beautiful, and the place was clean and well kept. The staff answered all my questions promptly before we arrived. First impressions were great, and everyone was friendly. There was a wedding on, which gave the hotel a lovely atmosphere. With the winter special, the room was excellent value, including breakfast and a cream tea on arrival. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The Tall Tales mystery group were fantastic, and the staff were very helpful. We had a fabulous time at the murder mystery on Saturday evening. The hotel was clean and lovely, our room was warm, and the food was great both at the event and at breakfast. No complaints at all. Thanks so much to all the staff. We can’t wait to return! 😊

The staff were welcoming and polite, and I’d happily stay again. On my second week I was upgraded to a much roomier, more comfortable room in the main house, which was a lovely surprise. Bagden Hall is at the top end of what I’d expect from a three-star hotel. The main building is very nice, and the lakeside lodges are comfortable, with a layout that reminded me of a Travelodge. In winter, the only downside is the two-minute walk through the rain to the main house for meals. The hotel is in lovely surroundings, and I’d recommend it.
