We hadn't stayed here before, but we'd happily come back. The rooms have plenty of space and most of the things you need. Staff were friendly and keen to help, and shops and restaurants are only a few minutes away on foot. There isn't parking at the hotel, though a multi-storey car park is about a two-minute walk away.

Handy city-centre spot, with plenty of places to eat nearby. A Spoons and Pizza Express are about five minutes across the road, and there are lots of other options too. Getting into town on foot is easier than walking back, but it wasn't a problem for us. It might be trickier if you have mobility issues.

The restaurant was being refurbished during our visit, so I'm not sure whether breakfast was available. The room itself was clean and nicely presented, with a huge bathroom, walk-in shower, toilet with purple lights, coffee machine and a fridge for drinks. Blackout curtains kept the light out, and the big bed and two chairs were comfortable. There were plenty of sockets and USB-A ports, including by both sides of the bed. We stayed one night in a Premier Plus room after a comedy night at the arena, which is directly across the road. Trinity shopping centre is about a ten-minute walk away. All in all, we slept well.

The room felt a bit chilly, though it was late December. It was spotless and roomy, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious too, with a nice-sized tub. There wasn't much shelf or hanging space for clothes.

The staff made our weekend, they were great. We were glad to find a Subway right next door when we were getting out of a taxi. I tried one of the premium rooms on Floor 8 for the first time and thought the extra £10 was worthwhile for the extra space and a decent coffee from the machine. Clean, consistent, and affordable, just what I expect from Premier Inn.
