The young man at the desk even went into the shop after it had closed so I could buy some of the tea we’d had. They also sent us off with a woof woof bag of desserts. Such a lovely touch. Our waiter from Brazil was patient and knowledgeable, and took my intolerance into account when the desserts were put together. The sandwiches were delicious, and the warm scones were especially good with a generous spoonful of their special jam. We hadn’t expected all the extra touches, and our afternoon tea was outstanding.

Lunch in the beautiful Foyer & Reading Room at Claridge's was such a lovely, indulgent way to spend an afternoon. The atmosphere felt elegant but still comfortable, and we never felt rushed. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive while staying professional. There was lots of choice on the menu, including a great children’s menu for our family, and something for everyone. The food was beautifully presented and excellent quality. A truly wonderful visit, and we’ll definitely be back.

Angela was the unexpected highlight of our afternoon tea. She was empathetic and helpful, took an interest in my decades long friendship with the close friend I’d brought for a milestone birthday, and really lifted the experience. The food was lovely and the ambiance charming, but she stood out. I’d encourage anyone to ask for her. I rarely write reviews, but she more than deserves one.

On 01.02.26 I had an excellent business stay at Claridge’s in London. It was calm and refined, with excellent facilities, and worked well for a business trip. My room was beautifully presented, quiet and very comfortable, so I could relax and work productively. The details throughout reflect the hotel’s reputation for quality and elegance. Service was outstanding from arrival, professional and efficient while still genuinely welcoming. Staff were courteous and attentive, and everything ran smoothly. A seamless, thoroughly enjoyable stay. I’d gladly return and recommend Claridge’s for business or leisure in London.
