The Chambers worked really well for our group of 16. It was private but still had a view through the bullseye glass windows and easy access to the bar. The room was lovely, with a beautifully set table, fresh flowers and nice crockery, all pristine when we arrived. Staff even helped with extra decorations. You could comfortably fit 20 people in there. The bar staff on shift on 22/02/26 were brilliant, especially with my nephews, and nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea team were patient, attentive and made sure we were looked after. We had fresh, fluffy, warm fruit scones, cakes including lemon drizzle, cherry bakewell, macarons and chocolate brownies, plus danish crowns as an extra. The ham, egg and smoked salmon sandwiches were lovely, with plenty of tea and coffee. We could have done with a couple more sandwich fingers each, but it felt like great value and quality, and everything was fresh. We came to the Stanneylands this weekend for afternoon cream tea to celebrate my mum's 70th. My parents had married there almost 40 years ago, and the team took a real interest in that and marked the occasion. From handling the booking and setup details to welcoming us on arrival, the staff did a fantastic job. Lovely venue and bar, brilliant food and top notch service from the front of house and kitchen teams. Thanks for making Mum's birthday special and looking after all of us. Five stars.

The suite was spacious and lovely, and the beds were super comfortable. We stayed both the night before and the night of my wedding at styal lodge. Room service and breakfast were delicious on both mornings, with lots of choice and nothing to fault. Most of all, the staff were a credit to the hotel. Everyone we met, from reception to housekeeping and the bar, was friendly and accommodating. On my wedding morning they were so attentive, bringing whatever we needed and guiding the hair, makeup and photographer teams to and from the room. A big thank you to the blonde woman at checkout, whose name I've sadly forgotten. She was lovely, asked all about the wedding and gave us a really nice ending to our stay.

The dining room has a lovely setting and atmosphere, and the food was tasty with good menu choices. I just wish the Saturday menu also included the lunchtime sandwiches. If you're after a lighter lunch at the weekend, the options are a bit limited.

I've been staying here long term for work, and the whole team deserves congratulations for being friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food is immaculate, fresh and healthy. It's been a very good hotel experience, and I'd recommend it any day of the week. Thank you, The Stanneylands. It's a pleasure staying with you.

We had a family meal with diners who have allergies. The staff were super friendly and attentive, and went the extra mile. The food was delicious and great value. We'll be back soon!
